  No, the new version only improves on the old design by offering a dampening effect for more feel. Otherwise the new model is identical to the old model.

  This latest version of the Babolat Pure Drive Plus is very similar to the previous version. The racquet's specifications are all the same. The only real difference is the inclusion of Babolat’s updated Cortex Dampening System that provides improved feel on each shot.
