Comments about HEAD YouTek IG Prestige Pro:

In stock form this racket is less then impressive. Not enough plow to get through heavy balls. But after polarizing this racket by adding 3 grams at 12 and 1.5 grams in the butt it plays much nicer. I think I'm going to tinker with weight and balance a bit more. But this could turn into my new racket of choice replaceing my Wilson Tour 90's I've been playing with for years.

do you think the open string pattern really increases spin and power? I have been using the liquid metal prestige mp for a while now. Just looking to add some more power and spin to my game with the same great feel.

  Yes, open string patterns do offer greater spin potential compared to closed string patterns. If you are looking for more spin without making a big jump to a different family of racquets, the Prestige Pro is definitely a good place to start. The feel will probably not be identical to the feel of your current racquet since the technology and string pattern are different, but it should be close.

What is the difference between the IG Prestige Pro Head racquet and the IG Radical Pro?

  The biggest difference is the weight. The Prestige Pro is almost a half ounce heavier. The Radical Pro has a slightly larger headsize and is a bit more flexible.

  The two main differences between the HEAD YouTek IG Prestige Pro racquet and the HEAD YouTek IG Radical Pro racquet are weight of the racquets (the Prestige Pro weighs 12 ounces strung, the Radical Pro 11.4 ounces), and the grip used (the Prestige Pro uses the HEAD Leather Tour grip, the Radical Pro uses the HEAD HydroSorb™ Tour grip).

Q:
The string tension range on the Holabird website and on the racquet is 48-57lb. On the Head website it says 57+- 5lbs under the specs for the racquet. The last model is 58+-5lbs on the racquet. I usually go in the middle of the range but I would like to know I'm working from the correct range.
