Q:
what do the numbers mean when associated with balance?Asked on 9/18/2012 by Budapest from New York, NY1 answer
A:
The numbers are a measurement referring to the actual balance point of the racquet (where it can sit evenly balanced without tipping towards the head or the handle). This measurement is always taken from the handle. If the balance point is greater than half the racquet's length, the racquet is head heavy. If the balance point is less than half the racquet's length, the racquet is head light. If the balance point is equal to half the racquet's length, the racquet is evenly balanced. Keep in mind that these measurements are often made without strings in the racquet. Once strings are installed, the weight of the strings can affect these measurements.Answered on 9/19/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
