O-Port Technology: Like the entire O3 line of racquets, O3 Blue utilizes Prince's proprietary O-Port technology. Prince re-engineered traditional pin sized string holes into giant O-Ports, providing total string freedom for a livelier response across the entire string bed. This expanded sweet spot (up to 54 percent), is now a Sweet Zone, allowing players to hit their best shots more often, faster more accurate serves, more controlled volleys, and more penetrating ground strokes. O-Ports also act as 'wind tunnels' to reduce aerodynamic drag, creating a quick and maneuverable frame which produces a faster swing speed for more aggressive play. The engineering is radical, and so is the look. The sleek frame splashed with blue metallic color accentuates the most unique feature of O3 , the giant O-Ports.

I am a 4.0 Senior Tournament and league player.
I been playing tennis for fifty years and have played with many types of rackets (brands and models).
This is the racket for me. It has good balance, great feel and enough power for the type of tennis I play.

Comments about Prince O3 Blue Oversize:

1st let me go thru quick history of my playing. I've played for at least 38yrs (16yrs. old). Played wood, metal, graphite, composite. I settled on Prince Spectrum 110/White. A wonderful racquet served me well for 20+ yrs. I stopped playing about 15yrs ago. Picked up competitively only 2yrs ago USTA 6.0. cuz of new competition decide to treat myself to new Head Djokovic for $99. I developed severe excruciating screaming tennis elbow! P.T. friend tells me my prob is Head racquet was too head heavy which was better for someone with who is a solid power hitter with excellent strokes (which was not me!). I order the O3 Hybrid Spectrum Oversize (white no less) - the successor to my ancient but dependable racquet! In meantime I go back to my trusty Spectrum 110. But also, friend tells me how to pronate my serve & I also took lessons to learn how to hit a proper forehand (I'm a slicer!). I get my new O3 Hybrid. It is a miracle find for me! My tennis elbow literally disappears in 4mos.! I am playing great! I am recruited for Mixed 6.0 as 2.5 teamed up with a gr8 3.5 woman. We win all our matches! Now I am so confident, I crack my new O3 Hybrid but still win my match. I order 2 more but find the O3 Blue Oversize on sale ([$] to[$]!) key was it was head light. I move up to 3.0. I play 6.0 & Tri-Level & love it! I am now 10-5 in my 2012 matches (3-3 at 7.0 level). I alternate depending on opposition (I use O3 Hybrid against heavy hitters & O3 Blue against = & lighter hitters). I love my blue & my whites!! Great buy (orig. [$]??!!) I have developed an all around game - new found power, improved slice & drop shots, quick swing espec. at net, power serves & new found back hand!! I'm lovin it!! Rated 3.0 captain of Mixed 6.0, Men's 3.0.

                    A:

It depends upon which Hyper Hammer 110 you are using. Hyper Hammer actually refers to a whole series of racquets and there were a few with 110 square inch heads. The Prince O3 Blue Oversize is a good racquet for people with fairly compact strokes, but it will not be balanced head heavy like racquets in the Hyper Hammer series.

Prince tennis racquets have always been revolutionary; in fact, they made the very first oversized racquet. Today, Prince racquets can be found in the hands of pros—like David Ferrer and Gael Monfils—and recreational players alike. Overall, Prince tennis racquets are known for increased ball control and stability and a significant reduction of frame vibration, making them perfect for any player type. But Prince doesn't just make tennis racquets. They also make fine tennis shoes, tennis apparel, grips, strings, squash racquets, and squash eyeguards.
