Maneuverability essentially just refers to how easy the racquet is to swing or move. From a technical standpoint, it's a bit of a broad term and means different things to different people. Essentially, lightweight racquets that are balanced head light will be the most maneuverable while heavy racquets that are balanced head heavy will be the least maneuverable. The length of the racquet also has an effect. There are infinite combinations of weight, balance, and length, so it's tough to judge a racquet just based on those three raw numbers. Fortunately, someone came up with a way to calculate a statistic called swing weight that provides a rough approximation of how heavy a racquet feels while it is being swung. The swing weight calculation takes into account a racquet's weight, balance, and length and returns a number. The higher the number, the heavier (and less "maneuverable") a racquet will feel while in motion. The lower the number, the lighter (and more "maneuverable") a racquet will feel while in motion. If you have any additional questions or need help selecting a racquet, please don't hesitate to contact us at (866) 860-1416 or info@holabirdsports.com
