Q:
I have a new Hyper Hammer with Wilson Sensation at 55lbs, don't seem to get the POP/Power I had with my old Hammer?
Will the 3 BLX restore my power game, what strings and tension are recommendated?Asked on 4/25/2013 by Ed from Georgia Mountains1 answer
A:
The Hyper Hammer name encompassed a whole line of racquets, some more powerful than others. I'm not sure exactly which Hyper Hammer racquet you are playing with, so it's tough to make a comparison. That being said, the Three BLX is a very powerful racquet with a large, oversized head so it should offer plenty of power. It is a relatively stiff racquet, so I would recommend sticking with a soft string like Wilson Sensation. Since this is a different frame than what you are used to, I would suggest stringing right in the middle of the manufacturer's recommended tension range (60 pounds). This will give you a nice feel for the racquet, and leave you plenty of room for adjustments when you get the racquet restrung the next time.Answered on 4/25/2013 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
