I've been purchasing and using Gosen Polylon & OG-Sheep strings (both 16 & 17 gauges) for years and I'm very happy with the durability, comfort & feel on all my rackets as well as my friends. I highly recommend any of their string products.

            Hi,
I would like to buy this for my 15yr old daughter. She plays at regional and national level. Can it be used as main string? and what is recommended tension(56lb?)?

            Thanks, Jim

              A:

Gosen Polylon is a durable, polyester string and is definitely good for use as the main string in a blend. It is a stiff string, so you might want to use a fairly soft string on the crosses. You can really string this at any tension you want; however, because the string is so stiff, we recommend reducing the tension by 5-10% in comparison with her normal tension.

          • About GOSEN
Tennis strings may seem simple but, as we all know, looks can be misleading. Gosen makes strings from start to finish: processing raw material, extruding, spinning, dyeing and coating. They call their system "Total Technology" and it's definitely unique. Gosen controls every aspect of making their strings, ensuring the superior quality of each and every string. Gosen strings represent a great value, whether you're looking for a synthetic gut, a performance multifilament, or a durable polyester; when you choose Gosen you're choosing one of the best.
