After 8 hours of play, turned my big toe nail "Black".

    About Me Competitive Athlete

    Pros

    • Fair heel cushion, low ankle, thin toe support.

    Cons

    • Narrow toe width, toe height as well.

    Best Uses

    • Hardcourt

    Comments about New Balance 696v3 Men's White/Blue:

Always buy NB for wide width and always try on first. First time buying shoes on line to my dismay. Thought I was getting a great shoe for a great value. Play 4 hours Friday night and then 4 hours that Saturday morning. Felt discomfort towards the end of play on Saturday, popped off shoe and there it was, "BIG BLACK TOENAIL". Very disappointed! Coach, who also bought a pair prior to my purchase shared with me, after the fact had the same issue in width.

    Comments about New Balance 696v3 Men's White/Blue:

I received the 696 New Balance shoes I ordered but I can hardly get my foot into them. They are marked with the size and width I ordered but that surely must be wrong. I'm sending them back.

    Lost a couple toe nails

      Comments about New Balance 696v3 Men's White/Blue:

I have been wearing wide (EE) New Balance a long time. These shoes have been very difficult to break in, in fact I damaged both large toe nails and will loose them. On the plus side, now that they are broken in, the soles seem to be holding up very well.

      • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
