Q:
What is the difference between the rpm blast 16 and the rpm blast 17 or 18, and which one is better for an advanced junior player?Asked on 3/15/2012 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
The difference between these three strings is simply the gauge, or thickness. The RPM Blast 16 is the thickest and the RPM Blast 18 is the thinnest. The thicker any string is, the longer it will last, but it won’t play as nicely. Thinner strings play nicer, but are less durable. I end up recommending the 17 or 18 gauge in this string to a lot of people. You’ll still get good durability from RPM Blast 17 or RPM Blast 18 and you’ll get slightly better feel. If they start breaking too quickly, you can always bump up to the RPM Blast 16.Answered on 3/16/2012 by Ryan from Holabird SportsA:
The difference is in the gauge of the string. It's designed to maximize spin potential and durability, so if you're a power hitter who breaks strings, this one's good.Answered on 3/20/2012 by Community Answer from None
