Q:
I am looking for a lightweight men's tennis shoe. This seems to fit that bill. Sometimes my knees swell, so I need shock absorption. Are these shoes good for that or is there a better lightweight shoe?Asked on 5/16/2013 by Mason from Columbus, MS2 answers

The adiZero ClimaCool Feather II would be perfect for you.Answered on 5/16/2013 by Community Answer from NoneA:
The adiZero ClimaCool Feather II is a very lightweight, breathable shoe, so it's definitely a good choice if that's an important factor for you. In general, most lightweight shoes do not offer as much cushioning or shock absorption as a heavier, more robust shoe. Advances in materials have enabled manufacturers to make shoes somewhat lighter, but most of the weight savings still comes at the expense of cushioning, shock absorption, and sometimes support. If you're worried about your body taking too much of a beating, it might be a good idea to keep two pairs of tennis shoes around. Save the lightweight performance shoes (like the adiZero ClimaCool Feather II) for match days or days where you'll be playing on soft courts, and get something a bit more robust for practice days. If you're looking at adidas shoes, the Barricade 7 (http://www.holabirdsports.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?cat=720&dir=desc&order=price&q=barricade+7) is a more cushioned shoe, but it is a good bit heavier. For lightweight shoes, you might also want to consider the ASICS GEL-Solution Speed (http://www.holabirdsports.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=720&q=solution+speed) or the K-Swiss Bigshot Light (http://www.holabirdsports.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=720&q=bigshot+light).Answered on 5/16/2013 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
