Comments about ASICS GEL-Challenger 8 Lady White/Maui Blue/Silver:
This was the second pair in a row that I bought, as I loved the first pair so much. Will continue to buy these. I had to buy a half size bigger for comfort, but width was fine. I play up to 4 times a week during high season and find them great for all courts, but admit I play mostly hard court.
Great shoes.

Q:
Are these better for an overpronator, supinator or neutral foot?Asked on 4/15/2013 by Cindy from Davenport, FL2 answers
A:
Product details don't mention any specifics that these shoes for overprints or supinators, as they provide heel to toe support. They seem like for neutral foot.Answered on 4/16/2013 by Community Answer from NoneA:
Running requires continuous forward motion that usually starts in the heel and rolls through onto the forefoot. It is during this natural forward motion that the foot pronates or supinates. Tennis, however, is a bit of a different story. Tennis requires players to spend a lot of time on the balls of their feet as well as sprinting and lateral movements, so a "traditional" heel-to-toe running gait is much less common. Most tennis shoes focus heavily on lateral stability (keeping the foot secure during side-to-side movement) and durability. That being said, most tennis shoes have enough built-in support that mild-moderate overpronators or supinators can wear them without worry. The GEL-Challenger 8 is a very nice tennis shoe with plenty of cushioning and an integrated stability system.Answered on 4/15/2013 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
Q:
Are these shoes good for running and walking?Asked on 3/21/2012 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
This shoe is not ideal for extended running or walking. The ASICS GEL-Challenger 8 is a tennis shoe and is designed specifically for the specialized movements that tennis requires. In order to stand up to the extreme wear-and-tear of tennis play, the outsole on this shoe is constructed from a much stiffer rubber than most running shoe outsoles. Also, because the movements required for tennis are very specific, the cushioning in the ASICS GEL-Challenger 8 is positioned differently than the cushioning in a running or walking shoe.Answered on 3/22/2012 by Ryan from Holabird Sports
