I love regular ASIC shoes and wasn't aware they had tennis court shoes. When they arrived I tried them on and they weren't stiff like my other tennis shoes and are very comfortable. Being 58 and playing tennis I really need good comfortable shoes!!

The biggest problem I find with these shoes is that the outside seems to be a size bigger than I wear. The length seems fine on the inside but the toe guard and amount of rubber around the exterior makes it feel like the shoes are too big.
The shoes are also very stiff which I hope will relax with more wear. Also the heel is very loose.

I bought these because the KSwiss Ultrascendor was aggravating my Achilles Tendonitis. I was skeptical becasue they didn't seem tremendously different side by side, but I was wrong. There is just enough extra cushion in the heel collar to protect the achilles tendon. These are fairly light, not quite as light as the KSwiss Ultrascendor, but not as heavy as my old Kswiss RS Defiers. Good compromise, great color! I am a former college player and play competitive tennis. I wanted a lighter shoe to increase my foot speed (had worn the RS Defier for several years). I had not worn Asics since college and then only the men's shoe because the women's weren't as sturdy. The Challenger blends funtionality with aesthetics for a great shoe.

No breaking-in required. Lots of support and very comfortable, highly recommend. Plus, I get lots of compliments on them. I had been using my Asics cross-trainers, but these have much better support for side-to-side play.
