Comments about New Balance 1005 WN Lady:

I thought this would be same tennis shoe as I had ordered earlier in the season. Instead it looked just like my son's version. Same model, but a boy's blue color, not the lady's light blue. The color on the website was misleading. Same model number as my light blue, and was on sale, but was disappointed in the color. A bit tight too despite being same size as previously ordered. So much for getting it on clearance.

Comments about New Balance 1005 WN Lady:

My 8 year old son is a boys 5.5 and has wide feet and currently there is a very limited offering of wide tennis sneakers. It had gotten to a point where his game was suffering. So thinking outside the box we priced and sized woman's wide sneakers that came in neutral colors. Ultimately we selected this pair. We got a Woman's 7W. They fit exactly like his regular NB 5.5W for boys.

Size issues aside these really are excellent sneakers. They have great shock absorption and seem to be wearing very evenly and well. My son's game has improved and his feet no longer hurt when he is done with a couple of hours of practice.

I am considering getting a pair for myself!

Not designed for my wide foot

Comments about New Balance 1005 WN Lady:

I was unable to try these for performance because the toebox is too narrow (even in D) for my wide foot. I have successfully worn the WCT 1004, but this one fits differently and is not comfortable. Otherwise, it looks well-designed with the quality I have come to expect from New Balance shoes.

                    A:

Some of the major differences between the 1004 and the updated 1005 are a lighter weight, a revised material on the toe to provide increased durability to combat toe drag, the incorporation of ISS Internal Support System for additional stability, and the addition of ACTEVA LITE, a premium lightweight midsole providing optimal cushioning and resistance to compression set.

                • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
