10 and Under Tennis Initiative

Most 10 and under sports—like 10 and under football, basketball, and baseball—are miniaturized for young children. Forcing younger athletes to play like adults on full-size fields or courts makes sports less enjoyable and more difficult for kids to play.

The 10 and Under Tennis USTA initiative brings tennis down to a smaller level for kids ten and under. 10 and Under Tennis allows kids to have success and fun early on in their tennis career. No one just wants to do boring drills—especially kids. Now kids can actually play real tennis points and have fun thanks to miniaturized 10 and under tennis racquets, courts, nets, and specialized tennis balls that bounce lower and move slower.
