Q:
I have been playing with the Pro Open for years and understand that Wilson is phasing it out. I am a 4.0-4.5 player, 46 yrs old, 5'8" and 145 lbs, hitting with a fully western forehand and two-handed backhand. I tried the Juice 100 and Steam 100 and didn't like either. Is the new AeroDrivePro GT or Pure Drive a good alternative? If not, what do you recommend?Asked on 4/11/2013 by PL1 answer

The AeroPro Drive GT and the Pure Drive GT are both probably worth trying. They are fairly similar to the Pro Open. You might also wish to consider the HEAD YouTek Instinct MP (http://www.holabirdsports.com/tennis/racquets/head-youtek-graphene-instinct-midplus.html) and the Prince Warrior 100 (http://www.holabirdsports.com/prince-exo3-warrior-100.html). I have two Wilson K Surge racquets 100 square inches 16x18 string pattern 9.9 oz that are around five years old. They are yellow, black and white and one of the frames just cracked so I wanted to get two new racquets which play similarly. I am a 4.0/4.5 club player and more of a baseline and singles player. This racquet is very similar to the Surge line and would definitely be worth a try. There is also a new version of the Wilson Surge that you should check out. The new version of the Surge will probably be the closest match with regards to racquet specifications.
