Q:
I am 71yo male senior 4.0 player and am looking for a little more pop on my shots volleys and serve.would the blx be a good choice or another wilson model be better?Asked on 1/6/2013 by Anonymous2 answers
A:
Choosing a racquet is largely based on personal preference, so it can be tough to make a recommendation. Ultimately, the best solution is to demo several racquets, play with them, and find racquets that you like best. Based on the information you supplied, the Wilson Tour BLX 95 might not be ideal for you. It is a bit on the heavy side and the racquet has a head heavy balance, so it won't be as maneuverable at the net. The Tour BLX 95 has a midplus headsize, which will offer plenty of control, but won't provide as much added power as a larger headsize. You may want to consider something like the Wilson Tempest Four BLX (http://www.holabirdsports.com/tennis/racquets/wilson-tempest-four-blx-110.html) or the Wilson Two BLX (http://www.holabirdsports.com/tennis/racquets/wilson-two-blx.html). Both are much lighter and have oversized heads that will provide plenty of hitting surface and added pop.Answered on 1/8/2013 by Ryan from Holabird SportsA:
