ASICS has taken another step forward with their popular and comfortable GT-1000™ series of shoes. The ASICS GT-1000™ packs performance, fit, and cushioning into a package that's perfect for mild to moderate overpronators looking for great value from their shoe.
Upper: Mesh upper with synthetic overlays. Padded tongue and heel collar. Textile lining.
Midsole: Heel and forefoot GEL® Cushioning Systems attenuate shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. DuoMax® Support System uses a dual-density midsole system that is positioned to enhance support and stability. SpEVA® midsole material improves bounc-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown. Midfoot Trusstic System® stabilizes the foot allowing for controlled midsole deformation and more efficient foot function. Guidance Line® vertical flex groove decouples the tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency.
Outsole: AHAR® (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) is placed in critical areas of the outsole for exceptional durability. DuraSponge® outsole uses a blown AHAR® compound for enhanced cushioning and durability in the forefoot.

ASICS has teamed up with Christina Applegate's Right Action for Women, a charitable services fund of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), to help provide assistance to women who are at increased risk for breast cancer. From October 1 to October 31, 2012, ASICS America will support the fight against breast cancer, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $75,000 up to $100,000, from specially marked ASICS products made available in retail stores nationwide. I use this shoe for my cardio workout at the gym. Cardio as in biking, treadmill, and elliptical. Shoe has nice cushion and comfort! I am an ASIC fan!

These shoes are not only adorable, but they are very comfortable. I need shoes with good arch support otherwise I get shin splints and these shoes have been great so far. I run about 4 miles 3 days a week and have not failed me yet. Plus, Hollabird was SO quick with their delivery!

These shoes have worked best for cross training at the gym- on weight lifting days and using cardio machines. Not the best for running due to a lack of cushioning and lack of arch support.
