Stability. New Balance’s 1340 is a trainer designed for maximum stability and provides the ultimate in cushioning. Run longer and train harder with this high performance running shoe that delivers a smooth transition coupled with plush cushioning for runners who overpronate.

Proudly assembled in the USA.

Upper: Air mesh upper with synthetic overlays provides ventilation and support. Air mesh padded tongue with padded heel collar for increased comfort and breathability. Molded external heel counter centers the foot at heel impact for a smooth transition. Synthetic overlays are incorporated into the lacing system for increased support.

Midsole: N2 is a responsive, durable, sustainable cushioning system in a low profile execution that delivers on all of these qualities while allowing the foot to be lower to the ground. T-Beam is a lightweight, flexible TPU shank engineered to deliver optimal torsional stability and arch support through a unique center beam design. Stability Web provides optimum arch support that’s both rigid and lightweight while preventing midfoot flex. Stabilicore® is a medial support system that provides an extremely smooth transition from heel strike to toe-off. It is made from an injection molded engineered thermoplastic that offers a great deal of precision and consistency. Unlike traditional foam posting systems, it provides a continuous range of stiffness for optimal transition. Full length ABZORB® Strobel board. Built on New Balance's SL-1 standard running/walking last. Removable premium multi-layer sockliner provides long lasting cushioning, air flow and moisture wicking properties.

12mm heel to toe offset.

Outsole: Blown rubber in the forefoot provides lightweight cushioning and traction while Ndurance® rubber compound in the heel provides maximum durability in high wear areas. Forefoot flex grooves provide optimal flexibility.

        Comments about New Balance 1340 Women's Silver/Blue:

Lightweight and great cushioning for pavement running. I run about 1 hour, 5.5 miles, 4X week. First time to try New Balance; well-pleased.

Also well-pleased with Holabird Sports. This is my 3rd purchase over a 2-year period. Each purchase has been as represented.

          Comments about New Balance 1340 Women's Silver/Blue:

I have had ongoing pain on the top of my feet for years due to hypermotion of my foot joints. My doctor recommended that I try these shoes instead of ordering custom orthotics at a cost of $600. This is my second pair. They are wonderful...the first product that has actually stopped the pain when I walk. I use them in conjunction with New Balance motion control insoles. Compared to the price of orthotics, these shoes are cost efficient and work extremely well. Highly recommend.

            Comments about New Balance 1340 Women's Silver/Blue:

Due to an arthritic condition, I use the NB 1340 SB Lady on a treadmill for a powerwalk, instead of jogging. This shoe provides exactly what my wide foot needs: cushioned impact, great pronation control with arch support and of course, durability.

              • About New Balance
New Balance has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of running shoes and they've done this without expensive advertising campaigns. New Balance knows that there is no better press than positive word-of-mouth. New Balance began as an arch support company, but in 1960, they designed the first running shoe with a ripple sole and the first running shoe that came in varying widths. It didn't take long before New Balance running shoes were used by college track teams all over the country. Today, New Balance makes their shoes available in more widths than almost any other company and that means that there's a New Balance that can fit nearly any foot. Although they started by making running shoes, New Balance tennis shoes are an industry staple and are loved by recreational and serious players. New Balance also makes fine running and tennis apparel, as well as a variety of socks and other sporting accessories.
