Midsole: GEL® cushioning system in the forefoot attenuates shock and adds increased cushioning. CMEVA midsole provides cushioning and durability. Sheet EVA insole provides increased cushioning. California Slip Lasted so the upper is stitched around an EVA board and directly attached to the midsole for increased stability and comfort.
Outsole: Non-marking solid rubber outsole with variable traction pattern for optimal traction on a variety of surfaces. Forefoot pivot point. Forefoot outsole wrap. NC Rubber® Outsole is a compound containing more natural rubber content than traditional solid rubber, resulting in enhanced traction on court surfaces.

Love the Asics running shoes so purchased these for tennis play. They feel a bit narrow across the top of my foot/ ball of foot- not sure I would have purchased if I tried them on in the store but I am hoping for the best.

I like Asics running shoes, so i tried their tennis shoe. Much more comfort and support than my old similarly priced Nike. Laces are slightly off-center which seemed a little odd at first, but I got used to it. Solid tennis shoe for an avid recreational player - 2-3x per week.
