Aircast Armband
Excellent arm band for tennis elbow.
Item is returnable, but does not qualify for free returns.
"The Aircast Pneumatic Armband contains a small aircell that focuses more pressure on the involved muscle and less around the arm. Laboratory tests show that the pressure under the aircell is about 50% greater than the average under the rest of the band's circumference. This concentration of pressure means that more compression is applied where it is needed, while the uninvolved muscles and the flow of blood are constricted less."
Excellent arm band for tennis elbow.
I have moderate progressive muscle & joint issues. My elbow got very bad where I had trouble lifting and typing. Doctor gave me one of these (likes the air pouch), told me to wear it 24/7 until the pain stops. That's what I did and now I can go a few days without it if I want. I mostly choose to wear it so activity doesn't aggravate the issue.
I use to play tennis 7 days a week, I developed tennis elbow so bad that I couldn't hold anything. One of my teammates introduced me to the aircast armband. When you put it on the right way it works wonders and had me back on the tennis court. After that everytime I even had a twinge of pain in my elbow I put it on. I have worn out 2 armbands and looking to buy a third.
Product meets my needs, and I hope the quality of the foam to fabric bond has improved. I've used these bands before to minimize tendonitis playing racquetball. The air bladder works much better than any foam competitor for my needs. Negatives: foam separates from fabric---had to sew both edges to keep it in one piece. Also, had to use sticky Velcro on bladder to keep in proper position in the band.
My last pair of these lasted over 15 years! I've used them for tennis, golf, escrima sticks, and punching a heavy bag.
