While I can’t speak to the specifics, purchased as a gift for my son. It was on his Christmas list because he loved these so much he wanted a second pair for indoors. He’s a trail runner, 100 miler marathoner and frequent Boston and other marathoner. He loves these shoes.

Great comfortable shoes. I used them for walking … they are soft with thick cushions. I like the unusual color scheme. I had a hard time driving with these shoes because of the thick soles … would buy again.

I’m 6’2” and 220lb. High arches and need toe room. Wearing NB Hierro v4 for past few years in 13EE. Purchased same in this shoe and am very impressed. Has an ample foam and Vibram base, Toe Protect and flat laces that stay out with double knot. First use—took the Great Pyrenees out for a four hour walk, run, climb, play bitey face excursion. Feet felt totally fresh as well as ankles, calves and knees at end of hike. Shoes got wet in tall grass but dried out and didn’t become heavy. The foam is quite responsive but not bouncy. Vibram soles are a great feature—these are a bit flatter than the Hierro, which seems fine.

Only small ding—insole is pretty plain and rather lean compared to other NB Trail shoes. Maybe the new thing is to use your own insole…but the fit and feel is comfortable nonetheless.

Most $$ I’ve ever spent on a Running shoe, but it’s a good investment in yourself.
