Adidas fused their revolutionary Boost midsole compound with the adios performance model. The result is the revolutionary adidas adiZero Adios Boost.
For decades, EVA foam midsoles reigned as the running shoe standard. Until, adidas launched the Boost midsole. EVA-cushioned shoes are firm and responsive, very soft with little energy return, or somewhere in between. With Boost, adidas gives runners both a plush, cushioned ride as well as optimum energy return with each stride. To achieve this, adidas literally blows up thermoplastic pebbles into thousands of small "energy capsules." Due to their cell structure, the capsules retain and release energy very efficiently. These units then bond together and form a singular midsole to create Boost as we know it.
The adidas adiZero Adios Boost offers a unique fusion of response and cushioning and will serve as a great option not only for the 5k and 10k distances, but also longer tempo runs, higher-mileage workouts, and the half-marathons and marathon distances.
With reduced seams in the upper and CoolEver mesh, the Adios Boost is very light: 8.0 ounces for the men's model and 6.6 ounces for the women's.
