The Omni 13—the newest version of Saucony's core stability shoe—is now available with only a few, minor updates.
The most notable change from the Omni 12 to the Omni 13 running shoe is the use of heat-fused overlays in the upper. "These welded overlays not only eliminate stitching lines where they are not needed, but also improves the internal comfort of the shoe," notes Saucony Rep Mark Johnson.
Most elements of the shoe's composition are highly similar to the Omni 12, including the shoe's Arch Lock technology for medial support and it's second-density midsole, which offers a moderate amount of stability for moderate overpronators. A men's size 9 weighs 10.2 ounces and a women's size 7 weighs 8.3 ounces—almost identical to that of the Saucony Omni 12.
"To enhance the shoe's stability, we tweaked the outsole just a little bit," added Johnson. "We incorporated a bridge pattern in the medial side of the outsole to offer a touch more support."
The Saucony Omni 13 should fit and feel the same as its predecessor and will offer the same amount of support and stability.
