Why Your Superfeet Are Squeaking
Squeaking generally comes from the friction between the insole and the inside of the shoe (or footbed). This sound occurs as the surfaces rub and shift during each step. To fix it:
- Make sure your insoles fit properly to prevent shifting and pressing inside your shoes.
- Apply lubricants such as powders and waxes to reduce friction and help prevent noise.
How to Prevent Superfeet from Squeaking
If your insoles are squeaking, they're likely not fitting correctly in your shoes. Here's what to do:
- Make sure you trim the insole correctly. Remove the Superfeet from your shoe.
- If you see creases in the foam at the toe or sides of the insoles, you may need to trim more.
- Slightly trim the edges of the insoles. There should be a small gap of 1 to 2 mm (about the width of a nickel) between the Superfeet insole and the end of your footwear.
- If the squeak persists after trimming, try adding talc or baby powder under the Superfeet insole to reduce friction.
Additional Tips
- If Supefeet are still squeaking, try applying a bit of candlewax to the underside of the insole.
