Leading the charge in the “maximalist” movement, Hoka One One has carved a new niche in the spectrum of running shoes. The shoes’ most notable feature is an ultrasized midsole—some of which have 2.5 times more volume than traditional running shoes. However, the heel-to-toe drop in in most models 2 or 4mm.
The result? A really, really soft ride and a midfoot strike. Likewise, all Hoka One One models are equipped with a Meta Rocker to not only encourage a midfoot strike, but also a smooth transition though the gait cycle.
The Bondi 3 is Hoka One One’s most cushioned model in this year’s line. The most exciting updates include:
- Less weight. The men’s size 9 weighs in just above 11 ounces and a women’s size 7 is a notch over 10 ounces.
- A new, seamlessly-bonded upper for a more comfortable fit.
- A external heel clip to lock in your heel.
- New colors that are fresh for Summer/Fall 2014
