I have worn this Asics style for several years and they serve me well on the tennis court as well as pickleball court. I do find, however, that the interior breaks down before the sole.

Disappointing. I had heard such good things about Asics—that they have good grip on the court and they last longer than other tennis shoes. But I was never able to break them in until I just realized they were uncomfortable. After 3 months of use, I still couldn't wear them longer than 2 hours. After 1 hour the soles of my feet started hurting. It wasn't a tightness issue (they do run narrow and I have narrow feet), it was the ball of my foot that always ached after tennis. The tread wore much faster than I was anticipating (went bald after less than a year) and the top part of the fabric by the shoe laces started fraying. I don't know if it was the model or the brand, but I would not buy these again.

I bought these shoes a couple of months ago and they are just OK. The soles on these shoes are thinner than I like. I have worn Asics for years, wearing other styles whose soles are more substantial. Would I buy this shoe again--no. I will look for other tennis shoes which are Asics.
