Ultralight comfort

Unbelievably light, soft as house slippers. I use these for trail hiking/running and they were extremely comfortable right out of the box. Great grip from the Vibram outsole, and the prefect blend of cushion and protection. I bought two more pairs!

So close… yet so far

I really wanted a shoe that could compare to Hoka speedgoat in terms of performance, that would last longer than ~250 miles. While I’ve only run 111 miles in these so far with my longest distance being 18 miles in one run, I do feel like I have a good feel for how these will perform. My first few runs were very disappointing. I don’t know why for the life of me they can’t put some padding in the heels. I have been trail running in various shoes for over a decade and I have only ever had one pair of dedicated trail shoes give me blisters. This should be a total cost of entry level of performance for a shoe: no blisters. I can put on a pair of Hokas, Altras, Salomons, and not even a sniff of hot spots on my heels. I was so disappointed to have a shoe that was twice the price of the next best shoe perform so poorly. I literally couldn’t wear them twice in a row when I first got them. Now that I’ve broken them in I haven’t had very many situations where I feel hot spots on my heels but I still feel a hotspot on nearly every run at some point. They no longer causes blisters but for this price, any discomfort is unacceptable. There are many cheap shoes that don’t do this. Now for the good: The outsole, midsole, and insole are absolutely sublime. The grip of the outsole is outstanding and having rubber covering the entirety of…
