International Tennis Hall of Fame Wins Top Museum Accreditation
The International Tennis Hall of Fame has worked for years to give much-deserved recognition to outstanding tennis players the world over. Finally, the museum is getting the recognition that they deserve.

The American Alliance of Museums has granted accreditation to the International Tennis Hall of Fame. This is the highest professional achievement in the museum industry and means that the museum is dedicated to excellence and is operating at the highest of standards.

There are an estimated 17,500 museums in the U.S. Around 1,000 are accredited. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is the second sports museum to gain accreditation, the first is the American Museum of Fly Fishing. It is also the second hall of fame museum to be accredited, the first is the Country Music Hall of Fame. However, it is the first sports hall of fame museum to have this honor bestowed on them.
