Now that the US Open is over, let's take a quick look at some of the random numbers associated with this year's US Open.

Venus Williams served a 129 mile-per-hour serve at the 2007 US Open. That's the fastest-recorded woman's serve ever in a main draw match. This year's fastest serve by a woman was made by Serena Williams at 126 mph. This year's fastest serve by a man was Milos Raonic's 145 mph serve.

Novak Djokovic bounces the ball up to 12 times on every serve.

US Open facilities

The US Open launched a Green Initiative in 2008. Since then, they have offset enough electricity to power over 600 homes for one year and have recycled approximately 1 million plastic bottles.

Over 40% of food at the US Open is locally sourced. This year they will donate 13.6 tons of food to the local community.

The Arthur Ashe stadium is the largest tennis stadium in the world and seats 23,771 people. The cost of covering it with a Teflon-coated retractable roof? At least $100 million.

Roger Federer is the only person to win the US Open 5 years in a row: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008.

Only three people have ever won the US Open three years in a row: Chris Evert in 1976, 1977, 1978; John McEnroe in 1979, 1980, 1981 and Ivan Lendl in 1985, 1986 & 1987
