These are nothing like the 1540 V3. The support from the 1540 V3 that everyone knew and loved is now completely gone, and we are left with a poorly made cost-saving next generation sneaker made from thin fabric and a tight toe box. I was recommended the V3 by a podiatrist, and when I showed him my V4s, he was horrified by the difference in quality and support and agreed I should return them. New Balance should be ashamed for selling these. While being made in the USA I can guarantee that these are less expensive for them to produce than the V3s which were made in Vietnam. Bring back the V3!

This new version took me a few days to get use to as more of a rolling step. So far the tips of the toes are becoming indented and staying that way so not fond of the toe box strength compare to version 3. I would like to see a black version.
