This is a great string. I've been a tour bite fan for the past three years and it's my "go to" string when I'm in a tough, competitive match. I carry 4 of the same racquets and I always have two of them strung with Solinco Tour Bite 19 strung at 43 pounds. The other two I use for trying out new strings and / or different tensions. I have tried more than 40 different strings over the past 3 years and have only found one string (Lexicon Timo 18), that comes close to the feel and spin I get with Tour Bite. My first experience three years ago with Tour Bite was 16 gauge that I strung at 52 pound and it played great. I then tried 18 gauge but found I didn't like how it felt until I lowered the tension to 46 pounds. Then it felt and played even better than the 16 gauge. I was surprised that I needed to lower the tension as the strings got thinner but it makes a huge difference in the way it plays. When I tried the 19 gauge I settled at 43 pounds and it plays great. My serves have more movement (according to the guys I have played with for the past few years) than ever before. At first I was concerned that by stringing at such a low tension, I would have a loss of control, (as we have all heard for years), but that didn't happen. I got more power and better feel and much more spin, by lowering the tension as I went to thinner strings. I think those old rules aren't as applicable to co-poly strings as they are for gut and synthetic gut. I am not a heavy topspin hitter, but the…
USTA 4.0 player, mostly used for practice and weekend matches. Love the spin I can get out of it, and I'm not a heavy spinner in general. Used on IG Prestige Pro, at about 50-53 lbs tension. The only issue is a bit of a elbow/shoulder soreness.
Great string
