Are Tennis Balls the Answer to Better Dog Selfies?
If you are like me then your smart phone is full of photos of your puppy. I have hundreds of photos of my dog. Unfortunately, many come out blurry ("pose" is a command he has yet to master) or with him looking away. It's hard enough to get some dogs to sit still and look directly at the camera long enough to get a good pic, and, if you want to take a selfie of you and your dog, it can be almost impossible. The geniuses over at Clever Dog Products have come up with the perfect answer to the dog selfie problem: the Pooch Selfie.

It seems simple: A plastic thing that attaches to your phone and holds a tennis ball. According to the Pooch Selfie Kickstarter page, "Pooch Selfie takes advantage of a dog's natural draw and focus to a tennis ball and uses this focus to hold their gaze as you snap away that perfect portrait picture." And, if you do lose his or her focus, simply squeak the ball.

Each Pooch Selfie comes with a cell phone attachment (it was designed to work with iPhones and the Galaxy but they say it works with most smart phones and tablets) and a squeaking Pooch Selfie tennis ball. (And, when you lose that one, or it gets chewed up, here is one more use for those old tennis balls!)

It's like Picasso's "Bull's Head" sculpture, the one made out of a bicycle seat and handlebars. You look at it and think, "I could have done that." But, you didn't.
