The Art of Roland Garros

The 2015 French Open tournament starts this weekend. France, especially Paris, is known for some of the greatest museums in the world, and some of the greatest artists in the world. In fact, the oldest European cave paintings were found in France, and many  influential artistic movements, ranging from Impressionism to Surrealism, started there. Therefore, it makes sense that Roland Garros, the Grand Slam Tournament held in France, take such pride in their posters.  For the past 35 years, amazing artists from all over the world have been invited to create posters for this remarkable tournament.
