The Rafa Nadal Foundation
Rafael Nadal created The Rafa Nadal Foundation back in 2007. According to his website, "The mission of the Rafa Nadal Foundation is to offer educational programs to the deprived, with a common denominator: sport." The foundation uses sports and education to help "socially discriminated children and teenagers who run the risk of exclusion by society."
The Rafa Nadal Foundation works with many experienced foundations and organizations. Currently, the foundation is working on a long-term "integration with sports" project with Aldeas Infantiles SOS, a "More than Tennis" project with the Special Olympics and with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, building and maintaining a school for integral education and tennis training in the Anantapur district in the poverty stricken Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The Serena Williams Foundation
Serena Williams Foundation provides help to children whose parents and families have been affected by violent crimes. Serena's oldest sister, Yetunde Price, was the victim of a shooting in a Los Angeles suburb. The Serena Williams Foundation funds and create programs to "provide counseling, care (foster care and day care), housing, food, and education to youth who have been affected by violent crimes throughout the United States."
The Foundation also helps underprivileged youth worldwide receive the highest quality education possible. They provide grants and scholarships to help them attend college, learn a trade or learn how to start their own businesses.

The Novak Djokovic Foundation
Coming from war-torn Serbia, it's no surprise that Novak Djokovic would choose focus on helping his own country. According to UNICEF, only 44% of Serbian children aged 3 to 5.5 is enrolled in pre-school education. The mission of the Novak Djokovic Foundation is to change that. According to the foundation's website, they want to "Enable children from disadvantaged communities to grow up, play and develop in stimulative, creative and safe settings, whilst learning to respect others and care for their environment."
Some of the current projects the Novak Djokovic Foundation are working on include: Toy Library in Kraqujevac, an area with a large Roma population; Supporting families at risk and Schools of Life.

The Roger Federer Foundation
The Roger Federer Foundation helps empower African children by " further developing existing educational services and early support in a sustainable way." The Roger Federer Foundation works primarily in Africa and Switzerland. The foundation is currently at work on multiple projects, including improving the quality of care and education in areas such as Botswana, Ethiopia, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In Africa, the foundation supports existing but poor childhood care centers, preschools and primary schools for kids 3 to 12 years old. In Switzerland, they help underprivileged children with their recreational activities.

The Maria Sharapova Foundation
Maria Sharapova is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where she focuses on achieving global anti-poverty goals and especially the Chernobyl-affected areas, including her home of Belarus. The Maria Sharapova Foundation in partnership with the UNDP launched a $210,000 scholarship program for students from Belarus.
