The Reebok CrossFit® Nano 8 Flexweave: A Great Workout Shoe Even for the Non-Crossfitter
I'll start with a disclaimer: I'm not a CrossFitter. I’ve never tried it, and I don't know the terminology… (aside from box and the only box I've ever been in was made out of cardboard).

But anyway, when my boss gave me a pair of Reebok Crossfit Nano 8 Flexweaves, I was a little confused.

“You work out!” he said. And it’s true, so I gave them a try.

What kind of workouts do I do exactly, if not CrossFit? All kinds: running, yoga, climbing, bike riding, partner acrobatics, and weightlifting. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and aside from running on the treadmill, I like to do some weight lifting exercises as well as some bodyweight exercises like planks, squats, crunches, handstands, etc. in between lifting weights.

I’d been going to the gym in my running shoes but didn’t enjoy using them for lifting weights. The Reebok CrossFit® Nano 8 Flexweaves ended up being great all-around gym shoes!

So let's talk about these shoes. The Nano 8 Flexweave features a constructed heel bootie that secured to my ankle and provided a lot of support when I did squats or lifted weights while standing. The grooved rubber sole offered a lot of traction on the smooth gym floor which gave me even more stability, and let’s be honest, the last thing you want to do while holding something heavy is slip.

The Nano 8 also features a dual-density midsole that absorbs a lot of shock when running or jumping. I ran about a mile on the treadmill in them, and although I think my running shoes would have been a better choice, the Nanos served me well. The lightweight comfortable materials of the shoes allowed my feet to breathe and not get super sweaty.

Lastly, I love the flexibility of these shoes. The woven upper of the shoe and the forefoot flex grooves really came in handing for exercises like lunges and planks where I’m up on the balls of my feet. The wide toe box offered a lot of room for my toes to spread out, which I appreciated.

Overall, I really liked working out in the Nano 8s. They offer a lot of freedom for range of motion in the toes and ankles yet provide the traction, support, and stability for heavy lifting, balancing, and other precarious exercises. So whether your box be CrossFit or cardboard, the CrossFit Nano 8 Flexweaves are a great workout shoe.
